INDONESIAN TAX POLICIES RATIFIED AMIDST COVID-19 PANDEMIC
We used to say that technology changes every detail of our lives with its fast pace. Currently, we have to acknowledge the existence of a new phenomenon that is also altering our lives much faster than technology, known as Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
COVID-19, as its abbreviation suggests, came into light in late 2019. It has taken no longer than 4 months to expand its global impact, followed by the urgent need for countries to implement lockdowns and the imminent defenses against the expansive spreading of the virus. On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) officially proclaimed COVID-19 as a pandemic, given the fact that the COVID-19 cases had spread rapidly and showed no signs of slowing down.
As the threat escalates, the Indonesian Government proactively announced fiscal stimuli to assist businesses in dealing with this unavoidable situation.
